PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the troubles that the surface soil of the crop field is disturbed as the mud in the crop field is nipped and picked up with adjacent rear wheels arranged in narrow intervals and the butts are severely damaged, when the machine body is turned around in a riding type transplanting machine that has four rear wheels and is equipped with the transplant worker so that it may be vertically movable. SOLUTION: In this riding type transplanting machine, the rear wheels 7a, 7b, 7c and 7d are mounted to the top edges of a plurality of transmission cases 3b so that the four rear wheels 7a, 7b, 7c and 7d may be arranged in parallel in the right and left direction. Further, the seedling-planting device is arranged so that the seedling-planting positions s, s of two rows of the seedlings may be set between the two lines extended in the longitudinal direction of the machine body in individual four rear wheels 7a, 7b, 7c and 7d.
