The invention relates to a process and an installation for pushing deep water containing dissolved gases to the surface with a view to subsequently extracting said dissolved gases. The claimed process is characterized in that, during the first step, a large-sized tube having variable cross section and being provided at its upper end with a bundle of small-sized vertical tubes tangent to each other is submerged at a desirable level, while during the second step the upward movement of the water inside the tube is initiated by blasting compressed air having a pressure of 0.5...1.0 at under the tube bundle until the entire amount of water contained in the tube initially flows through the tube bundle, the blasting of air being then stopped, thereby reaching the final step where the upward movement of the water takes place continuously, due to the action of the uplift forces of the gas bubbles passing through the tube bundles at a speed ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 m/s.
