PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reverse rotation of a spinning reel. SOLUTION: This reverse rotation-preventing clutch comprises a clutch ring 120 having a contact surface, a clutch housing 58 which can be rotated in the clutch ring 120 and has shoulder portions and openings, a wedge 78 having at least one post capable of being received in inclined routes and openings, and a plurality of needles 64 held around the clutch housing 58. There are shoulder portions 52 and inclined routes 90 corresponding the needles 64. The shoulder portions 52 press the corresponding needles 64 in the direction apart from the inclined routes by torques imparted to the first direction based on the clutch housing 58. The needles 64 interact on the inclined routes by the torques in the first direction based on the wedge 78, and are brought into contact with the contact surface to prevent the wedge 78 from being rotated on the basis of the clutch ring 120.
