PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for accurately and simply quantifying human hemoglobin(HB). SOLUTION: This cell line producing an HB-specific monoclonal antibody is obtained by the method comprising a step of obtaining a fused cell by the cell fusion of a lienal cell of an HB-immunized mammal and a cell derived from mammalian myeloma, and a step of closing a cell line producing HB- specific monoclonal antibody from the fused cell where the antibody produced from the fused cell is sereened with respect to an ability of binding to HB by the immunoassay method.
