PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize operation by avoiding the meandering of a moving metal strip in an acid cleaning process. SOLUTION: As a line of equipment for continuously performing an acid cleaning process on metallic strips, there are successively arranged, between a pay-off reel for unwinding the strips and a take-up reel for winding the strips, a welding unit making continuous processing possible by connecting the tail end of a proceding strip to the tip end of a succeeding strip, a straightening unit for correcting the shape of the strips, and an acid cleaning tank equipped with loopers at the entrance and the exit side, respectively.
