PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper having the superior leakage preventing characteristic, storing and holding characteristic of an auxiliary absorbing tool, wearing characteristic and fittability to a crotch region. SOLUTION: In this disposable diaper having a central absorbing part C positioned on a central part in the width direction, of an under-crotch region U, leg absorbing parts D respectively longitudinally formed outside both side edges of the central absorbing part C, and edge flap parts E respectively formed outside outer side edges of the both leg absorbing parts D and free from an absorbing member, elastic members 7a-7d are longitudinally formed on the leg absorbing parts D and/or the edge flap parts E, a coefficient of contraction in the longitudinal direction of the edge flap parts E is higher than that in the longitudinal direction of the leg absorbing parts D, and the leg absorbing parts D, D are curved to inwardly project in the width direction of the diaper.
