摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw-down location setting method with which the dimensinal accuracy of products is improved and threading trouble caused by the generation of meandering and camber is solved. SOLUTION: Thrust force generated between a rolled sheet and a work roll during rolling is predicted before starting rolling, and, on the basis of the expected value of the thrust force, the screw-down locations at the point of time when rolling is started and the screw-down location at the point of time when the thrust reaction force generated at the supporting point of the thrust force is stabilized are individually set. Before starting rolling, the screw-down location is adjusted to that at the point of time when the rolling is started. After starting rolling, the stability of the thrust reaction force is monitored using a detecting means for thrust reaction force, for example, and when it is judged that the thrust reaction force is stabilized, the screw-down location is readjusted to that at the point of time when the thrust reaction force is stabilized.</p>
