ENDOSCOPIC SYSTEM HAVING PHOTOMETRIC RANGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic system which enables an operator to change a photometric range and is capable of displaying a boundary line indicating the photometric range on a screen on which an observation object is projected. SOLUTION: Any one among plural pulses which are the pulses synchronized with horizontal scanning of video signals and vary in the positions and pulse widths in a horizontal scanning direction is selected and the photometric range in the horizontal direction is determined by this selected pulse. The integration of luminance component signals is performed within the photometric range based on the selected pulse and the light quantity control of illumination light is performed in accordance with the result of the integration. The boundary line indicating the boundary of the photometric range is superposed on the videos and is displayed at both ends of the selected photometric range.
