PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic filter not increasing the inflow resistance of a fluid to be filtered into a flow channel, hard to bring about the defect of a filter film or a seal material on the end surface of the opening part of the flow channel or the abrassive damage or the like of the filter film or the seal material caused by a substance to be filtered and having a shape hard to generate the clogging caused by the substance to be filtered at the time of back washing. SOLUTION: The ceramic filter is equipped with a base material 1 comprising a porous body having a single flow channel or a large number of parallel flow channels 3 and the filter film 3 formed on the surface of the base material 1. The opening diameter of at least one end part 4 of each flow channel 3 is made larger than the inner diameter of the part other than the end part of each flow channel 3.
