PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient standing and seating assist device capable of reducing the cost. SOLUTION: This standing and seating assist device is provided with a seat having a seat surface part 2 and a backrest part 3, a belt member 4 fitted between a tip 2A in the central part of the seat face part 2 and the upper end 3A of the central part of the backrest part 3, a hand switch 5, a drive unit actuated by the hand switch 5, and a winding mechanism 10 for the belt member 4 winding by the operation of the drive unit.
