PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush for cleaning the inside of the pipeline of an endoscope which prevents brush bristles from being pinched between the pipeline and a brush protective member, hardly gives rise to bending, or the like, of a brush shaft and is user friendly. SOLUTION: The brush bristles 2 on the side nearest the brush protective member 5 are formed to the lengths at which the brush bristles 2 do not overlap on the outside surface of the brush protective member 5 even if the brush bristles fall and the brush bristles in other positions are formed gradually longer the more distant from the brush protective member 5 within the length range where the brush bristles 2 do not overlap on the outside surface of the brush protective member 5 when the brush bristles fall.
