PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twin continuous kneader capable of remarkably improving a production amount by enabling an additive to be stably supplied, and to provide a method for kneading thereby. SOLUTION: The twin continuous kneader comprises a second supply means 8 connected to an upstream side end or an intermediate flow part of a barrel 3 to supply the additive into a kneading chamber, and a kneading zone 16 provided at a downstream side from the means 8 at each kneading screw 2, 2. In this case, the zone 16 is formed as a segment group in which there are juxtaposed in an axial central direction a plurality of rotor segments 22 for satisfying conditions that (a) the group has only a feeding segment 22F or the segment 22F and a neutral segment 22N added thereto, and (b) a flight of each rotor segment 22 has a high site tip and a low site tip alternatively aligned in an axial central direction. |
