PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a half-rotary shuttle capable of preventing exfoliation of a race part from a main body of a shuttle body and allowing use without supplying oil in the case that the race part of the shuttle body of the half-rotary shuttle is made of a synthetic resin. SOLUTION: This half-rotary shuttle for a sewing machine has a large shuttle body 2 formed with a guide groove 8 in the inner circumferential face, and the shuttle body 4 having the race part 6 slidably supported by the large shuttle body guide groove 8. The shuttle body race part 6 is formed by filling the resin in a metal frame part 24, while the metal frame part 24 has an uneven shape in a view from an axis A direction of the shuttle.
