PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treating device with which garbage is distinguished without generating odor by completely decomposing and extinguishing garbage with porous ceramics carrying an acid-resistant bacterium. SOLUTION: The device has electron generating porous ceramics carrying the acid-resistant bacterium as a main body and is of an arm structure or of a mainly rotary drum structure. A carbon based surface exothermic body 1 for emitting far infrared ray is provided on the whole circumferential surface of a rotary drum B and a sensor for automatically controlling the temperature at 30 deg.C to 40 deg.C is provided inside the drum. A garbage charging port L and an air introducing hole are provided at a side part of a cylindrical drum, a suction fan 3 is provided at a generated gas discharging port at an opposite flank thereof and an odor preventing filter 4 is provided at a ventilation tower 2 to discharge odorless air. Further, several pieces of blade plates G are provided inside the drum and one or two pieces of partition plates H are provided at respective blade plates. Thus, a garbage decomposing and extinguishing device A in which decomposition of the garbage, supply of oxygen and dispersion of moisture are made effective and the action of the acid-resistant bacterium is made active can be provided.
