METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING AND TREATING STOMACH CANCER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively and simply diagnosing and/or treating stomach cancer. SOLUTION: This method for determining the presence or absence of the risk of the stomach cancer in a testee includes the following processes: a process for determining the level of GISP(gastro-intestinal secretory protein) in a biological sample from the testee; and a process for comparing the measured level with a threshold level for expressing the GISP, wherein the higher GISP expression level in the biological sample than the threshold level shows that the testee has the risk of the stomach cancer.
