PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a discharge into the atmosphere in normal drying, to cope with abnormality according to a degree of the abnormality when the abnormality occurs, and to finally give priority to prevention of an explosion accident to secure safety, in a drying mechanism for a petroleum solvent. SOLUTION: This drying mechanism has a drying chamber 1, a warm air supply passage 5, an exhaust flow passage 7, a flow passage changeover chamber 10 provided between the exhaust flow passage 7 and the warm air supply side, and a controller monitoring the drying environment on the basis of a signal from a drying environment monitor sensor such as a gas concentration sensor 16 during drying. When preset atmosphere release conditions are satisfied in the drying environment, the controller forcibly changes a flow passage changeover damper 37 into an atmosphere discharge state.
