PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a steam route structure capable of appropriately retaining heat without drying rice and solve problems in a conventional rice cooker wherein a steam route 7 is provided on a cover 4 for covering an upper face of an inner pan 3 to release steam generated inside to the outside of the rice cooker, however, opening the steam route 7 dries the rice being in heat retention. SOLUTION: A closing valve operated by a bimetallic member 8 is provided on a part of the steam route 7 provided on the cover for covering an upper part of the inner pan. The valve operated by the bimetallic member opens or closes through a temperature inside the inner pan and opens the steam route 7 when the temperature rises to at least a predetermined temperature and otherwise closes the route. The valve is able to be provided on any position on the steam route. An object in which outer circumferences of two disc members consisting of a different kind of metal are joined, deforming to a rice ball shape through temperature change is preferably used as the bimetallic member.
