PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hand drying apparatus in which water blown away from hands is kept under a condition which can be treated as easy as possible and which is easily cleaned and hygienic. SOLUTION: In the hand drying apparatus in which in a treating room 3 where the hands can be inserted into and pulled out from a hand entrance 5, a high speed air flow is jetted to the inserted wet hands to blow away water content stuck on the hands to the depth side of the treating room 3 and to dry the hands, the treating room 3 is constituted by an open container structure with no drainage channel for draining the water blown away from the hands.
