The present invent refers to a process for preparing lime at an industrial level containing the essential trace elements for the human being, such as iron, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, trivalent chrome and molybdenum to fortify corn or other grains starting from the nixtamalization stage, and its application for obtaining nixtamalized corn flour fortified to produce tortillas and their by-products.
