PURPOSE:To suppress generation of noises during operation without deteriorating a capacity of discharging smoke, hot air and the like outdoors. CONSTITUTION:A range hood comprises a range hood body 3 formed with an exhaust port 1 on an upper portion thereof and a suction port 2 on a lower portion thereof, a pair of throttle portions 4, 5 provided on an upstream side and a downstream side of a ventilation trunk formed between the exhaust port 1 and the suction port 2, and a sound absorbing portion 6 formed between the throttle portions 4, 5. Accordingly, the sound having passed through the throttle portions 4, 5 having a small opening area, abruptly spreads at the sound absorbing portion 6 having a large opening area to be attenuated in the sound absorbing portion 6. |
