SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in hydraulic turbines and pumps with welded metal spiral case whose meridian sections are close to circular ones. Plane of symmetry of spiral case is square to axis of hydraulic machine. Case is made of sheet members welded to each other, with form of sections by meridian planes passing through axis of hydraulic machine being close to circular ones. Sizes and positions of end face sections of members found by hydrodynamic calculations are characterized by two parameters - radius of section and distance from center of section to axis of hydraulic machine. Each member is made as fragment of straight, round conical or cylindrical shell. EFFECT: reduced labor input, increased accuracy of form of spiral case members. 2 cl
