PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor which enables the reduction in its dimension, while keeping its torque characteristics proper. SOLUTION: A coil 24 comprises first and second winding parts 25 and 26. The first winding part 25 is wound so as not to protrude from a region with a rectangular cross section, whose one side is a cross-sectional ridge formed by a tooth surface 21 and whose other side is a cross-sectional ridge formed by a second inside surface 23. The second winding part 26 is wound in a region outside an outermost layer of rows of coil wires 27, comprising the first winding part 25 in a coil-winding region A1. The total number of rows of the coil wires 27 is determined from the relation: maximum layering number of rows of the coil wires 27×C (where C denotes a constant in a range of 0.95-1.17)-1.85×(the thickness of the rows of the coil wire 27 of the first winding part 25/the length of the stator core 12)}. |
