摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the teaching of a traveling robot. SOLUTION: Path information is taught to the traveling robot as the robot is moved along a path by human. The path of travel of the robot is divided into a plurality of paths. Each path is a section that can be traveled using one navigation method. Navigation methods include linear travel, left arcuate travel, right arcuate travel, left wall side travel, right wall side travel, spin turns, and stops. The path is defined at least by a leading end, a trailing end and navigation method. Path information can include information about sign patterns and information about land marks. In order to create a path information file in which pieces of path information are arranged in the order of travel control from a start point to a goal point, items of information to be input are displayed on a display device and an operator is urged to make inputs.
