PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible display control system and a control method therefor by which a plurality of display devices can be controlled by a single display control device, and the number of display devices is not limited, according to this invention. SOLUTION: The presence or absence of the outputs of picture information request signals HSYNC 21-23 outputted from each of a plurality of display devices 21-23 is monitored. Then based on the monitoring result, the picture information stored in picture memory of the control device built in a host computer 1 are distributed to each of the display devices 21-23.
