PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process control method capable of compensating dead time even with a great disturbance, and a process control device using it. SOLUTION: The process control method having a model which represents the behavior of the control object includes calculating an estimate of the quantity of control of the control object not including dead time, and an estimate of the quantity of control of the control object including dead time, based on the model and using both the quantity of operation and the quantity of state of the control object not including dead time; and calculating a difference between the two estimates to add the difference to a deviation between a target value and the quantity of control.
