PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a civil engineering structural unit capable of preventing the damage of a suction prevention sheet and performing horizontal slip on the suction prevention sheet. SOLUTION: In the civil engineering structural unit 3 attaching a plurality of natural stones 5 on the surface of a wire net 4 using bolts 15 respectively, the rhombic wire net forming a step H between a plurality of first division elements 6 and a plurality of second division elements 7 as a mesh eight-division element is used, and washers 14 are provided so as to mount the adjacent first division elements between the adjacent second division elements 7 to connect the washers 14 through the bolts 15 on the natural stones 5, which are fixed on the surface of the wire net 4. Then, the head part 19 of the bolt 15 is housed in the step 16 by using the step H, and not projected from the other face of the wire net 4.
