PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device in which wasting of energy remaining in a battery is as preventable as possible. SOLUTION: A digital camera shown in Fig. 1 is provided with an image pickup part 1 for photographing a subject and inputting image data, a memory 7 in which a plurality of inputted image data can be stored temporarily, a recording medium A8 for storing image data stored in the memory 7, a battery part 20 for supplying power to respective parts, a battery voltage detection part 6 for detecting the output voltage of the battery and a control part 5 for restricting the number of the sheets of the image data to be stored in the memory 7 stepwise, based on the output voltage of the battery of the part 6.
