PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a link cable assembly as an interface between a network cable and the network to be tested. SOLUTION: The link cable assembly includes a link cable that minimizes cross-talks and is built to have reliability of high quality for a long time. The connector personality modules are releasably attached to the link cable and enable testing the network which has different electric property. Calibration data may be stored in the cable assembly to enable excluding the specific 'patch cord' return loss as a factor from the network cable measurement value.
