PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress pulsations occurring in intake pipes, when the opening of a throttle valve disposed in the intake pipe is increased. SOLUTION: When a pump loss is lowered by increasing the opening of the throttle valve 56, based on the magnitude of the pulsations occurring in the intake pipes 51 and 52, a specified opening smaller than the opening of the throttle valve 56 at fully open state is set as the upper limit of the opening of the throttle valve, and the opening of the throttle valve 56 is increased, so as not to increase the upper limit. When a throttle valve 56' and a speed control valve 58 are installed, the upper limit for the total opening of the throttle valve 56' and the speed control valve is set up.
