PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data interpolation device that applies interpolation to image data to reduce inequality of line widths such as oblique lines with less blur at an optional magnification independently of magnification/reduction. SOLUTION: The image data interpolation device applying interpolation processing to a 1st two-dimensional image to generate a 2nd two-dimensional image, is provided with linear interpolation processing sections 6, 11 that conduct interpolation processing, nearest neighbor interpolation processing sections 7, 12 that conduct interpolation processing different from that of the linear interpolation processing sections 6, 11, and interpolation method discrimination sections 5, 10 that select the linear interpolation processing sections 6, 11 or the nearest neighbor interpolation processing sections 7, 12 in the case of conducting the interpolation processing. The interpolation method discrimination sections 5, 10 selects the linear interpolation processing sections 6, 11 or the nearest neighbor interpolation processing sections 7, 12 on the basis of the number of pixels of the 1st two-dimensional image in horizontal and vertical directions, the number of pixels of the 2nd two-dimensional image in horizontal and vertical directions, and layout location of the pixels generated by the interpolation. |
