PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera by which an incorporated memory to be accessed fast is utilized effectively in the transmission of a picture. SOLUTION: The digital camera copies a picture of the first frame during a time T1 and a picture of the second frame during a time T2 from a memory card. Then, the picture of the first frame stored in the incorporated memory of a DRAM, etc., is read during the time T3 and the picture of the first frame is transmitted through a modem card during a time T4. Furthermore, the picture of the second frame stored in the incorporated memory is read during a time T5 and the picture of the second frame is transmitted through the modem card during a time T6. Thus, since the picture data of the second frame are read from the incorporated memory which is accessed faster than a memory card during a connecting time, the incorporated memory is utilized effectively and the connecting time is reduced.
