摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mounting efficiency of a heat exchanger in a furnace in the heat exchanger having a metal tank that is entirely brazed and fixed integrally in the furnace. SOLUTION: Extremely short, cylindrical connection fixture 8 having steps as compared with an entrance pipe 4 is inserted into a pipe connection opening 3 of a tank body 2, and the area between components is brazed and fixed integrally in the furnace. Then, after the brazing, the end section of the entrance pipe 4 is inserted into the connection fixture 8, and a nib section 7 of the connection fixture 8 is caulked before being pressure-welded to a small flange section 10 of the entrance pipe 4. Since the entire portion is brazed and fixed while the extremely short connection fixture 8 as compared with the entrance pipe 4 is inserted into the pipe connection opening 3 of the tank body 2, occupation space in the furnace of the heat exchanger in brazing is reduced, thus simultaneously brazing more heat exchangers.
