PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous resin composition capable of imparting an ionic character, a functional group having reactivity and being suppressed in yellowing, used for a water based coating agent, a water based paint or the like. SOLUTION: This aqueous resin composition includes 0.1-30 wt.% of a constituent unit obtained by polymerizing (meth)acrylamide-based monomers expressed by formula 1. (R0 is H or methyl group, R1 is an alkylene group. R2 and R3 are each H, an alkyl group or an aryl group, the R2 and R3 may be same or different. And, a (substituted) amino group expressed by -NR2R3 may be a free amino group or a neutralized salt.).
