A pallet of molded construction comprising a load-carrying surface of substantially continuous form supported by underlying support structure configured to permit the insertion of tines of a fork-lift. The load-carrying surface being reinforced at its underside by cellular reinforcing structure comprising cells which are open to the underside of the pallet. The underlying support structure comprises a series of parallel beams of hollow construction. The beams having transverse apertures to permit insertion of the times of the fork lift laterally to the beams. The transverse apertures being bounded from above by the cellular reinforcing structure of the adjacent part of the load-carrying surface, the entire pallet being molded in one piece in a single molding operation
