<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system allowing selection whether using a hibernation function or not at the time of starting operation of the computer system. SOLUTION: This computer system has a nonvolatile storage means storing a state just before a stop of the system, a start mode selection means for selecting one of a first and a second start modes at the time of the starting operation of the system, and a start mode decision means deciding the start mode selected by the start mode selection means. When the computer system is started, a user can select the first start mode starting the computer system by use of a resume function or the second start mode starting the computer system without using the resume function to start the computer system.</p> |
