PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a shield machine in which the wear rate at a cutter lower section becomes remarkably higher than that at a cutter upper section, and the merit of a long-range excavation is reduced by the repair work of the cutter lower section. SOLUTION: This shield machine is provided with a cutter drive device section 15 having a drive section 15 provided with a support shaft 4 supporting a cutter frame 2 at a prescribed eccentric quantity V and a drive motor 10 rotating the drive section 5. Bit positions can be changed according to the operating state of cutter bits 3 by providing a drive member 17 rotatably supporting the cutter drive device section 15 relative to a shield machine body 1 and rotating the cutter drive device section 15 at a prescribed rotation angle relative to the shield machine body 1. |
