PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting receiver, capable of properly allocating a desired broadcasting station (frequency) to a preset key, according to the receiving area. SOLUTION: When a preset operation is instructed in a neighboring area, this broadcasting receiver respectively detects the electric field strength of respective stations initialized in FM1 and FM2 of a preset table shown in (a), and rearranges the respective stations in the order of electric field strength being from a B station to a J station to perform resetting as shown in (b). Meanwhile, when a preset operation is instructed in a remote area, the broadcasting receiver performs autoscanning within a prescribed frequency band because all of the stations initialized in the FM1 and FM2 shown in (a) become reception disabled state, specifies currently receivable broadcasting stations (frequency), arranges the specified (a) station to (f) station in the order of larger electric field strength and sets the stations in an FM3 as shown in (c).
