PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric actuator for stopping an output to an output shaft when an abnormal load is produced on the output shaft. SOLUTION: In this electric actuator for extending and retracting an extension/retraction tube by transmitting the driving of the electric motor to the output shaft through a gear as a transmission means, a slip mechanism for cutting off the transmission of the output from the electric motor by detecting the abnormal load on the output shaft is disposed between the gear and the output shaft.
