PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforced earth structure 20 capable of reliably maintaining a state of the coupling between a reinforcing body 23 and an earth retaining wall 21 even in the use of the reinforcing body 23 low in dimensional accuracy by preventing a great force from acting locally on the reinforcing body 23 and concrete blocks 24 for retaining. SOLUTION: The earth retaining wall 21 is constituted by superposing the plural concrete blocks 24 for retaining, and the reinforcing body 23 is engaged with an engaging recess 28 of each of the blocks 24 and coupled to the wall 21. In this case, a thick section 27 of the reinforcing body 23, which is fitted into a broad region 47 of the engaging recess 28, has extensive surface-contact so as to enable the prevention of the action of the local force on the reinforcing body 23. Additionally, because the thick section 27 is fitted while having a gap in a longitudinal direction, an allowable dimension error can be increased, and the forces except a coupling releasing force can be prevented from acting on the reinforcing body 23.
