PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method with which recording can be carried out in uniform signal characteristics over the entire surface of optical disk medium when the optical disk medium is divided into two or more recording areas in the radial direction and is recorded, by using the simple method of driving the optical disk medium with the CAV(Constant Angular Velocity) system, while maintaining compatibility with the recording format of the conventional reproduction-only media. SOLUTION: When the optical disk medium is divided into a plurality of recording areas in the radial direction and is recorded according to the data amount to record in the rotary drive by the CAV system, recording can be carried out in uniform characteristics over the entire surface of optical disk medium regardless of the interruption and restart of the recording operation, by computing and recording the recording power of the following recording area, while reproducing the recording part of the end part of each recording area, and adding the correction in the approximate expression on the basis of the reproduction result. |
