PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a motor voltage MV for deceleration in advance before decelerating a slide door. SOLUTION: This power slide device of the vehicle slide door is provided with a wire drum 8 connected to the slide door 2 via a wire cable 9, a motor 7 for rotating the wire drum 8, a sensor 76 detecting the sliding speed SS of the motor 7, and a controller 45 governing the control of them. In this safety control method, the controller 45 determines the magnitude of the external force in the deceleration direction applied to the slide door 2 until the slide door 2 reaches a door closing deceleration position CP set at a desired position before a half latch position by the door closing rotation of the motor 7 then determines the deceleration motor voltage MV fed to the motor 7 by a voltage transforming circuit 67 after the slide door 2 reaches the door closing deceleration position CP according to the magnitude of the external force in the deceleration direction and the power supply voltage BV of a battery 66. |
