A mechanical contactor housed in an electromagnet and a mobile contact carrier. The electromagnet (20) is located at the rear of the body (10) and the control wiring plan (PB) is located at the front of the power wiring plan (PA). The command terminals (B) and the control terminals (C) are arranged in a front command/control terminal strip (60). The coil terminals (26) are connected to the command terminals (B) by transverse conductors (27) housed in grooves arranged between an internal surface of the body and an external surface of an arc box.
