PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable using with a battery and an AC adapter, to prevent incorrect insertion or connection with equipment of different specifications, and to simplify circuit structure. SOLUTION: The dummy battery is provided with an AC adapter jack 8 for an AC adapter 6 to be inserted into, and output terminals 9a, 9b, 9c as connection terminals connectable with connection terminals 5a, 5b, 5c of the side of electronic equipment 1. The dummy battery 7 has a protrusion 10 formed at a part of its outside contour, while a battery box 3 of the electronic equipment 1 has a recess 11 formed at the corresponding place. When the dummy battery 7 is inserted into the battery box 3, the dummy battery 7 is first fitted to an insertion slot of the battery box 3 and slid in, whereby, only the dummy battery 7 with the protrusion 10 fitting with the recess 11 can be inserted, incorrect insertion thus prevented.
