PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone where a display is enlarged to increase the information amount which is displayed at once, for reduced size and weight of it. SOLUTION: A portable telephone body is provided with a display panel 5 for displaying drawable data. The display panel 5 with a larger front area may be provided. The display panel 5 of larger front area is drawn out as required to increase the information amount displayed at once.
