PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groundwater drainage well and an execution method therefor, which enables smooth execution during excavation by means of the drainage well while dispensing with a boring machine exclusive to the drainage well by avoiding the installation of the drainage well on an excavation site within an earth retaining wall, and which facilitates the removal of the drainage well after the termination of drainage. SOLUTION: The groundwater drainage well comprises a catchment device 9 and a filter material 10 infilled around a soldier beam 1. The catchment device 9 is installed in a gap 8 formed by the soldier beam 1 of the earth retaining wall, which is composed of a wide flange shape 2 whose end undergoes consolidation of foundation, the upper end of the consolidation-of-foundation part 5 of the shape 2, flanges 6 and 6, and a web 7. The catchment device 9 characteristically comprises a well pipe 12 with a screen and a lifting pump 12 installed within the well pipe 12.
