METHOD FOR TREATING RADIOACTIVE SOLID WASTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the efficient and safe treatment and disposal of radioactive solid wastes by decreasing the physical quantity of the wastes to be treated and disposed of as a category of a high-level radioactivity in the treatment and disposal of them. SOLUTION: A method for treating radioactive solid wastes generated from nuclear facilities includes a calculation process S1 where the level of radioactivity in each part of the radioactive solid wastes is determined through calculation, division processes S2 and S3 where the radioactive solid wastes are divided into parts that are different in disposal categories and treatment processes S4 and S5 where the parts obtained in the division processes 4 and 5 are collected for each of the disposal categories and is treated according to each of the disposal categories.
