PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of simply identifying a caller at an incoming time of a communicating apparatus. SOLUTION: The communicating apparatus comprises a storage means for previously storing calling sound information corresponding to incoming number information, a retrieving means for retrieving calling sound information corresponding based on the incoming number information, an output means for outputting the retrieved calling sound information, and a means for generating the calling sound based on its output. When incoming is newly arrived, the calling sound information corresponding based on comparison of the new incoming number information with the stored incoming number information is retrieved, and the calling sound based on the information is generated by the apparatus.
