PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily confirm visually the positions of TABs connected to the circuit board of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The circuit board 21 adjoins lands 33, and position confirming means 36 are formed simultaneously with the lands 33. In each position- confirming means 36, first and second alignment marks 41 and 42 are integrally formed. Notches 49 are provided in each TAB 24 provided with leads 47 connected to the lands 33. Whether the TABs 24 are positioned within appropriate extents in the lengthwise direction can be confirmed by visually confirming that the alignment marks 41 are positioned in the notches 49. In addition, whether anisotropic conductive films 51 which stick the TABs 24 to the circuit board 21 are positioned within appropriate extents can be confirmed, by confirming that the films 51 have been positioned in the second alignment marks 42.
