PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible duct, rigid and excellent in durability, simple in manufacturing and, further, capable of effecting the hanging work of the same optimally and surely. SOLUTION: A part of a jacket material skin 5, provided around a heat insulating material 2 formed so as to have a tubular shape, is projected into the radial direction of the duct to form a hanging section 10 extended into the lengthwise direction of the duct with a predetermined width. A reinforcing tape 20 is applied on one side or both sides of the hanging section 10 by thermal bonding. The inner surfaces of the jacket material skin 5 are bonded to each other to form the hanging section 10 through the thermal bonding. The hanging section 10 is formed by bonding thermally the inner surfaces of the excessive peripheral part 5a of the jacket material skin 5, manufactured so as to be a tubular body having a diameter larger than that of the heat insulating material, to each other. A hanging section forming fitting 30 is mounted upon the hanging work on the desired position of the hanging section 10 to hang the duct by the hanging section forming fitting 30.
