PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a bath system which can be executed and constructed by using a heat source device etc., incorporating the same controller regardless of the installed location, whether a side face or bottom face, or type of a circulation adaptor. SOLUTION: Control programs for circulation adaptors for side-face installation, normal bottom-face installation, and integral bottom-face installation are prestored in the storing section 53 of a controller 5 in accordance with the difference in type and installed location of circulation adaptors installed to bathtubs. Before the bath system is used after installation, an adaptor discriminating section 54 discriminates the type and installed location of the circulation adaptor actually installed to the bathtub of the system from the input and setting to a remote controller 50 and identification information supplied from an automatic drain plug controller 16 when the adaptor is integrated with an automatic drain plug or by discriminating the circulation of hot water in a state where the bathtub is filled with a prescribed quantity of hot water and causes a switching section 55 to output the discriminated results. The section 55 selects a specific control program corresponding to the actually installed circulation adaptor and causes a bath actuation control section 51 to make automatic set up.
